At Slogarie, we believe in embracing the joys of the fresh Scottish air and the beauty of nature. To enhance your outdoor experience, all our properties feature a charcoal BBQ and fire pit with cozy seating areas. This allows you to bask in the outdoors, gaze at the stars, and indulge in the simple pleasure of roasting marshmallows.
Inside, you'll find the warmth and charm of open fires or log burners, creating a cozy atmosphere that invites relaxation. Engage in quality time with loved ones as you enjoy the selection of books and games provided, fostering moments of connection and laughter.
Slogarie is a place to switch off from the demands of everyday life, to slow down and savor the moments that truly matter. Take a leisurely stroll around the estate, immersing yourself in the abundant wildlife and soaking in the sights and smells of the surrounding nature. It's a chance to feel truly connected—to yourself, to loved ones, and to the natural world.
Allow Slogarie to be your haven of tranquility, where you can disconnect from the outside world, embrace the slower pace, and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
THINGS TO DO

The Lodge and The Coach House both have log fired hot tubs. The tubs are filled with the beautifully soft hill water that has been filtered and is totally chemical free - better for you and the environment. The first load of logs is complementary and you are able to purchase more from the estate.
This is a magical sensation and perfect in all weathers!
HOT TUBBING

Whilst staying at Slogarie, you can be in charge of the chickens! We have quite a few at the moment and they are busy laying lots of eggs. We can show you how to feed them and how to collect the eggs. Children love to do this and it is a great way to show them where their food comes from not to mention the bonus of delicious fresh eggs for breakfast!

THE FARM EXPERIENCE
Depending on the time of year, we often able to offer a Farm Experience. Gavin will take a small group around the farm to visit the different animals and tend to them. Feeding sheep and collecting eggs are always the highlight. We have some very friendly farm animals and this is always a hit with children and adults alike!

Cycling
Dumfries and Galloway is famous for the amazing cycling here. There are some world class trails including the 7stanes mountain bike trails.
We can now also boast to being next to the first UCI Gravel World Series event to be staged in Britain. It is held in the neighbouring town of Gatehouse of Fleet and takes riders across the Galloway Forest Park. We have guests each year who take part and are told it is amazing!

We also often have guests who would like to hire bikes and go on cycling tours - there is a wonderful company to help with that
